Vertical Wave IP is based on open standards. This means for example that the Wave IP can handle SIP trunk ing (VoIP) . Not every user wants to replace ISDN 30 trunk lines by SIP. Converts ISDN 2, 15, 20, 30 or more of the same to SIP (or the other way around).

Converterts analogue net lines / ‘devices’ (fax, door opener, etc)  to SIP (or the other way around)
